Biography

Joanne is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in San Jose, CA, who helps those who are exhausted by anxiety, guilt, and shame create thriving relationships using the Enneagram and Brainspotting. A native of the Bay Area, Joanne has actively served on church ministries (at one point, on pastoral staff) and understands the realities and challenges of ministry life and its impact on one's spiritual, emotional, and relational life. Joanne specializes in emotional abuse and neglect, strained relationships, and spiritual abuse. She works with many Highly Sensitive Persons (HSPs) and Enneagram Type 1s, 2s, 4s, and 9s.

My Approach

I fully believe that our emotional, spiritual, and relational health have everything to do with each other, as they are the triune expression of the Greatest Commandments of "Love GOD", "Love NEIGHBOR", and "Love SELF".

Similarly, I also focus on a person's whole being: body, mind, and heart. My practice's name is OliveMe Counseling: the "OliveMe" is a word play on "I love me" and "all of me." I help people become whole in the fullest sense of the word.
