Biography

Are you a woman committed to the work of healing from childhood and relational wounds? You thought you’d moved on, but the unresolved pain of your past shows up in the way you perceive the world and in the way you interact in your relationships. Sometimes it can feel as though you’re reliving the memories in your body. Imagine being able to move on from old wounds and reclaiming a more integrated sense of self. It is possible to have fulfilling secure relationships with the right support, skills, and tools aligned with your values and goals.

Isabel practices EMDR and attachment-focused EMDR to alleviate the effects of complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, phobias, along with other mental health struggles. Isabel’s approach to mental health is highly relational, trauma-informed, and holistic. She is able to integrate a faith-based approach when requested.

Email Isabel to schedule a free 20-minute phone or video consultation to get started. Accepting Oregon Health Plan insurance only at this time (Open Card & CareOregon).

My Approach

In working with many individuals, I learned that much of the anxiety, depression, shame, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and emotional and behavioral struggles originate from painful experiences and relational ruptures in childhood. Rather than focusing all your effort on managing symptoms, a more lasting change can occur at the brain level through brain-based approaches like EMDR. I have dedicated my post-graduate training in trauma-informed therapies to offer a gentle and compassionate approach that considers holistically the spirit, body, and mind, with a Christian worldview.

Issues and Specialties

Anxiety, PTSD and trauma, inner child work, relationship issues, abuse recovery, self-esteem, As an EMDR therapist, I use EMDR and attachment focused EMDR to alleviate the effects of complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, phobias, along with other mental health struggles.

My approach to mental health is Biblically-based, relational, trauma-informed, and holistic.
