Biography

Elena Volpe has been a licensed therapist since 1994 utilizing her first hand knowledge of the challenges of bi-racial and POC identities. She currently works as a psychotherapist at Smith College with traditional and non-traditional aged students who are navigating intersectionalities of identity through race, culture, gender, sexuality, socio-economic status.

My Approach

I utilize a integrative somatic approach aimed in deepening the awareness of the interplay of thought, feeling and sensation as achieved by the physical body. My identity as a bi-racial therapist that works in 3 languages informs the arena of conflict and magic that inhabits the boundaries of gender, race and culture.
