Biography

As a second-gen Korean American who was born and raised in New York, I’ve lived in a duality of cultures my entire life. With my lived experience along with my background as a social worker, I approach therapy from a social justice lens.

I work with individuals who want to live more authentically, through improving self-esteem, building confidence, and improving their relationships. I'm passionate about helping young adults who want to step into themselves, but aren't sure where to start. To see if we're a good fit, you can reach out to schedule a consultation call.

My Approach

I believe that in order to provide good mental health treatment, the client's cultural, environmental, and socioeconomic experience must be taken into consideration. As a product of first-generation Korean American parents, I am passionate about helping clients work on individuation as well as cultural and racial identity development. My approach to therapy is largely based on cognitive behavioral interventions, with focus on specific goals. I enjoy working with individuals who are highly motivated by their goals and are open to change.
