Angie Cho

Executive Director

Angie is a second generation Korean American born in Portland, OR where she currently resides. She is a registered associate therapist practicing at a private agency in the Portland metropolitan area. She graduated from Portland State University with a B.S. in Psychology and Northwestern University with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is married to English Ministry Pastor Daniel Lee of Bethel Presbyterian Church of Oregon. They have been serving their Korean American multigenerational church together for the past 10 years, including youth and English ministry. They have two daughters, Harper and Haven. Angie is passionate about listening to the stories of other Korean Americans in the community and bringing light to the challenges of a multicultural life. Angie enjoys traveling with her family and exploring new coffee shops and eateries.

 

Jiwon Woo

program DIRECTOR

Jiwon was born and raised in Daejeon, South Korea where she had the unique experience in her teenage years of supporting her friends through various crises, around the topics of faith, depression, and perfectionism. This allowed her to share the gospel, find her passion in counseling, and see the importance of mental health. Following her interest in learning about different cultures, she studied and worked in the field of international education. She is passionate about the social-emotional well-being of immigrants. She hopes to create a safe space for students to share their voices. In her leisure time, she enjoys drinking coffee and cooking. She also loves to walk, bike, and do yoga.

Gloria Kim

Operations Manager

At MSG, Gloria supports the organization’s operations to help advance its mission and goals. She has various experiences working within the nonprofit, education, and healthcare sectors. As a second-generation Korean American, Gloria recognizes the unique cultural, social, and generational implications that may impact individuals within the Korean American community. She is invested in sparking conversations and creating safe spaces to talk about mental health in the hopes of removing stigma and raising mental health awareness and literacy. In her free time, Gloria enjoys baking, going on long scenic hikes, and exploring new cafes and restaurants.

 

Sarah Kang

Communications Manager

Sarah was born and raised in Missouri, where she developed a strong sense of community and service. After graduating in Biochemistry and Statistics at the University of Missouri, she pursued a degree in medicine. However, she soon realized that her true calling lay in the fields of education and mental health. Driven by her passion to make a positive impact in people's lives, Sarah shifted her focus and pursued a career in these areas. She is deeply committed to helping individuals and communities overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. Whether she's working with youth in underserved areas or partnering with mental health organizations to promote well-being, Sarah brings her unwavering dedication and passion to everything she does. Beyond her work with MSG, Sarah is an adventurous and creative individual with a love for travel, flower arranging, and hip-hop dancing.
