Biography

Laurie Gamble is a Blasian American raised by her Korean immigrant grandmother and Black grandfather in Texas. She graduated from the Master of Social Work program at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), specializing in transformative culturally competent practice with diverse populations. She loves to eat good food, spend time with family, travel, write, and enjoy stories with well-thought out plot lines and compelling character development.

My Approach

I'm passionate about helping clients work through trauma and anxiety, especially related to identity. As a mixed race Blasian American, identity development and intersectionality are so important to me! I believe therapy should provide safety, belonging, regulation tools, and psychoeducation!
